Biography :

Arif Satria, PhD is the Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency of Indonesia (BRIN). He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from IPB University and completed his doctoral studies at Kagoshima University, Japan. With a strong academic background and long-standing commitment to research, higher education, and national development, he has played a significant role in shaping Indonesia’s science, technology, and innovation ecosystem.

Prof. Satria previously served as Rector of IPB University (2017–2028) and has held numerous strategic leadership positions, including Chair of the Indonesian Rectors Forum, Vice Chair of the Selection Committee for the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), and Chairman of the Indonesian Association of Muslim Intellectuals (ICMI). His leadership has been widely recognized through various national awards, including Excellence in Leadership for Global Reputation (Indonesia Top Achievements Award 2025), Academic Leader Award from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, and multiple distinctions for outstanding leadership, public service, and intellectual contributions at the national and international levels.
